The Archive Recorded04pieces·Issue 001 closed

The pieces, as issued.

Scarcity is not a campaign. It is the record. The archive is the long memory of the house. When an issue closes, it enters the archive. Every piece is recorded with its run, its specification, and the date it left the workshop. No restock is scheduled.

When a piece returns.

Wood-Smith pieces that come back into circulation — through gift, estate, or hand-over — are re-registered to their next steward. The archive holds the chain. The stripe holds the line. A repaired piece returns with the RE-ISSUED · W/S capsule set beside its original mark — marked with honor, not corrected.

  • i.The piece is recorded, not resold.
  • ii.Repair is not erasure. It is a record.
  • iii.The inscription is preserved across hands.
  • iv.The issue is closed only to the market, not to time.
